Full Moon Tour - Kayak Rental
Experience the Lower Colorado River in a way few people ever will. As the full moon rises over Bastrop, the river takes on an entirely different character—quiet, peaceful, and illuminated by moonlight.
Whether you’re planning an unforgettable date night, a one-of-a-kind family adventure, or simply looking for something extraordinary to do this summer, our Full Moon Kayak Tour delivers an experience unlike anything else in Central Texas.
This is a special event with extremely limited seating and is offered just once each year. When the last kayak is reserved, the opportunity is gone until next summer. Reserve your spot today and experience the river under the light of the full moon.

No. Towards the end of the trip there is a little bit of quicker moving water but nothing technical. The Lower Colorado River is a class 1 river, about 3 feet deep on average in the area you will be paddling.
- Minimum age for this event is 10 years old.
- Youth under 18 years old must accompanied by an adult. 1:1 adult to youth ratio
If someone in your party weighs over 250lbs, please contact us ahead of time so we can assign one of our larger kayaks to your group.
For this event we primarily use Perception – Tribe, or Ocean Kayak – Malibu sit-on-top kayaks.
NO. Not for this event.
Dogs are however permitted on most of our regular activities as long as they have experience being in a boat and will not be a distraction to the paddler. Rivers are not the place to train a dog to sit in a kayak or canoe. We recommend taking your pet out on a lake several times first where you can stay close to a water exit.
You may bring a small lunch pail size cooler if you wish, but we ask that you keep this event alcohol free.
